Mire seems to be the opposite of his great-grandmother - Mirefern. Unlike her emotional and gentle nature, Mire is more alert and willing to speak his mind. Mire seems to take heavily after his mother. He is very skeptic about almost everything and needs an explanation or reasoning before believing in something. He seems to be on edge and untrusting towards cats he just meets, unaware of their true nature from first impressions. He absolutely hates blindly following others since he believes that he has a right to know of their intentions if he is to listen to them and is it extremely rare - nearly impossible - for him to completely trust someone. He is a very proud and determined cat. Mire hates backing down from a challenge or letting someone he dislikes get their way, especially if he thinks that they are wrong. He pushes for what he wants and only folds when he feels as though he has to, though he makes it obvious he does not want to. Mire believes that he has a strong moral compass, trying to do what he believes is right and wishes for everyone else to do that same. He hates to admit that he is wrong, more because of the fact that he thought he was morally right and hates acknowledging that he wasn't. Mire speaks his mind when he feels that it is necessary and gets angry is someone is to tell him to be quiet. Mire seems to be annoyed nearly all the time, and is rarely seen to be pleasant and enjoying himself. He has little patients for things and seems to be ready for a fight if anyone says or does the wrong thing. He's very alert and tends to expect the worse to happen at all times. Mire is willing to die for anybody that he loves and will fight for his clan. Though he is very loyal to his clan and tries to follow the rules, he does not look down on anybody who breaks the rules - unless if it directly causes others to die. Mire's grandmother - Marshsnow - was a medicine cat who broke the rules by having kits, and he knows that if it wasn't for her breaking the rules, then neither he nor his beloved family would have ever existed. He most likely won't help anybody break the rules though, but he won't judge them for it as many of his clan-mates would.
He seems to have little trust in Starclan and would prefer to believe in things he see with his own eyes and trusts in cats that he actually knows instead of cats that already got themselves killed. Though many would believe that he hates Starclan, in reality he has no reason to hate them as much as it seems and he actually doesn't have much feeling for them whether it's hate or love. Despite this, is agitates him when someone speaks so highly of their deceased ancestors and when they seem to put all their trust and hope in them instead of the cats that are still living. Mire does plan on making himself a future someday without the help of Starclan. If it wasn't for his parents, than he would believe that someone with his personality wouldn't find love - since his mother is very much like him but ended up finding someone as kind as his father. He loves his parents and litter-mates and wishes to protect them, seriously doubting that Starclan would be able to and was distraught after their deaths. This caused him to be even more protective of anyone else he cares for deeply, aware that Starclan will not save them just as they didn't save his family.

◦ Type ◦
» Somebody he can trust. Must have morals, the stronger the better. Would also want someone who can trust him. » Somebody who is (at least somewhat) affectionate and kind to balance his silent and usual cold nature. Though this person cannot be overly annoying, bubbly or talkative. They would prove to be a "breath of fresh air" for him. » Preferably somebody who is not just a sheep and doesn't follow blindly. If they are, then it should be somebody who trusts him if he tells them something different than they've been told (but does not follow him blindly all the time, 'cause that would annoy him). » Could not care less about their backstory as long as they are currently a genuinely good person (though not a fan of people who has killed a lot) and would prefer that they are in RC during their relationship since he would wish to spend a lot of time with them. |

Mirekit was born to Applethorn and Swampstone of Riverclan alongside his litter-mates Chirpkit and Dovekit. He was very close to Chirpkit - he found her annoying since she would talk a lot, but would quietly listen to her telling him about her day, even if it was things that he already knew. He cared much for his family and quickly adapted his mother's skeptical nature, being cautious around things and people that he doesn't know much about and not becoming friends with others unless he feel confident that they are cats to be trusted. Mirekit lived a happy life with his family - though he didn't make friends, he would always hanging around his siblings, especially Chirpkit. A tragedy struck and his entire close family either died or went missing without a word, leaving him all alone in Riverclan as just a kit. Though he was unaware that his father was actually alive, having left the clan after the death of Applethorn and believing that the kits would be safe and cared for. Mirekit refused any cats that tried to adopt him into their family since he believed it was wrong to replace his biological one. Despite this, he did not seem to change much. He was still skeptical ad morally driven, though his disbelief and distrust in Starclan grew even stronger since he could not understand why they would ever take his family away from him.
Not much happened to him after that. He became friendly with other cats but never really making close friends. He did get along with his unofficial mentor, Mistfall, though they weren't exactly close. When he was about 10 moons old an epidemic swept through all of the clans and those that were sick were forced to stay in a Quarantined Zone to prevent further spreading the illness, and Mirepaw was one of these cats - he had gotten green-cough. During this time he grew absolutely bored since he had no one to talk to and nothing to do - not being able to leave the Zone and was too weak to really walk around. Though he did recognize another Riverclan apprentice - Fawnpaw - and struck up a conversation with him. He wasn't one to just approach cats like that since they had nothing to really talk about, but Mirepaw was just absolutely bored and wanted something to do.
Afterwards, Mirepaw continued his apprentice training. He focused on his training as he neared 12 moons, getting closer to becoming a warrior. When he was about 11 moon, a battle broke out between his clan-mates - those against and those for Fallenstar. He had been out practicing during the night and heard the battle as he was returning to camp. When the tom saw his clan-mates fighting he was extremely confused. He eventually saw Fawnpaw standing to the side in terror, and rushed towards him. The two theorized that it was a coup. Mirepaw was not a huge fan of Fallenstar as leader, but he viewed these actions as under-handed and wrong. He was about to join the fray and fight for his leader against the uprising, but when he noticed how terrified Fawnpaw was he realized that he would not leave him. They then decided to flee from the camp and away from their fighting clan-mates and headed into the territory together. The two spent the time theorizing about why their clan-mates were attacking each other. They both agreed that it was a coup, believing that Fallenstar had upset his own clan-mates. Mirepaw believed that what they were doing was absolutely wrong and that they should have talked it out instead of attack their own clan-mates in their sleep to force their leader to step down. Though Fawnpaw agreed at first, but pointed out that they didn't know what was happening and that there was a chance their clan-mates had tried talking it out and felt forced to do something like this. Mirepaw begrudgingly admitted that it was true. They both didn't know what to do if they returned to a new leader, but considered the possibility of leaving the clan if the new leader was bad. He eventually checked to make sure that the fight was over and retrieved Fawnpaw when he found out it was.
When he was twelve moons Mirepaw became a warrior - now Mirethorn, taking his mother's suffix as his own to honor her.
Mirethorn continued to try to spend time with Fawnpaw, but eventually he distanced himself from the younger cat. He began to deal with depression, but he had no idea why since he couldn't think of anything in his life that would cause him to feel this way. He was ashamed that he felt this way when he knew other people had it much worse so he distanced himself from everybody and blamed himself for these feelings, but this caused him to be much worse. As these feelings grew he became less and less active in the clan. He would go hunt for them, but would only do so alone or not acknowledge anyone if he was forced to hunt with others. Mirethorn would focus much more on hunting or patrolling and would not socialize, if he was not fulfilling duties he was usually in his nest or alone on the territory and hiding from his clan-mates. He was aware it was his fault he was getting worse, but he felt more and more ashamed of these feelings and didn't want anyone to know.
